Live Casino Vs. Traditional Casinos

These days we can track the dizzying extent of human progress through a variety of means, however one that continuously throws up quite how quickly we have progressed in the last 100 years is that of the casino industry. Don’t get us wrong, this is a market that has been huge since at least the 18th Century, but for a long whilst it remained in a fairly stationary position, lacking the technology to make any really huge changes. Over the last two centuries, however, this has completely changed, with a myriad of new technologies paving the way for an unprecedented expansion of the entire industry.
Live Casino
The main thing to happen to the casino industry was undeniably the emergence of the Internet, something that immediately flipped the whole market on its head. It did not take long for online casino such as a Norwegian casino site to become a viable alternative to traditional casinos, and the statistics these days show that online casino has completely and utterly overtaken its traditional predecessor. This is a change that was spearheaded by the online slots market, of course, however in recent years things like live casino have also contributed. But what exactly is live casino? And how does it compare to traditional casino? Well, read ahead to find out…

What Is Traditional Casino?

To kick things off we thought it apt to give a quick run through of what exactly traditional casino is, seeing as there are millions of new gamblers around these days who have amazingly never set foot inside one of these establishments. A traditional casino is basically exactly what it says on the tin – a gambling hotspot usually located in a very large and flashy building, with a multitude of different games you can try your luck on. Places like Las Vegas have become traditional casino Meccas, absolutely no wonder when you see quite how decadent these establishments have become.
In fact, historically there has been so much money poured into the traditional casino industry by excited gamblers that real life physical casinos are often ludicrously decadent. In fact, some places in Las Vegas even have things like zoos nestled away in their casinos – it really is extravagance to the point of absurdism!

History Of Traditional Casino

The legitimate history of traditional casinos can be tracked all the way back to the 17th Century and the bustling city of Venice. Aware of how many people liked to gamble during the carnival season, they established the first genuine casino in the world – the Casino di Venezia, in the 1600s. This was the first time that the world had seen a government regulated completely legal casino, however to call it the start of casino gambling would be foolish, as it had been around for hundreds, if not thousands, of years prior. Regardless, the Casino di Venezia was the first legitimate casino, and before too long several more had sprung up around Venice.

Now, fast-forward to the 21st Century and the amount of traditional casinos really is staggering – you can find at least one in pretty much all major cities across the world. There is also a ridiculous amount of money in the industry too, something that shouldn’t be surprising considering the amount of people that simply love to gamble.

What Is Live Casino?

As we have seen, traditional casino has been around for hundreds of years, but live casino has been a thing for a comparatively short amount of time. In fact, live casino’s lifespan correlates directly with that of the Internet, and do you know why that is? Well, the answer is simple – live casino is something that relies 100% on the Internet. However, it is important not to get it mixed up with the whole online casino realm, because live casino is only one part of this huge industry.

Oh yes, in a difference to things like online slots or poker, live casino still retains some of the real life elements of traditional casino. This is because all live casino games are live streamed from a central location, with gamblers then placing their bets from all over the world. This is one of the main reasons why so many people have started playing live casino games – it appears to wed the best bits from online casino and traditional casino.

History Of Live Casino

Live casino first appeared in 1996, at the time it was incredibly rudimentary and you could only play Blackjack on it, however it was still incredibly popular. It wasn’t long before video links made the experience that bit better, and gamblers could actually see the dealer over a real-time live stream. This enhanced live casino’s popularity even further, attracting gamblers from all corners of the world due to its merger of reality and online play.

As time has gone on live casino has only got more popular. Where once you could only play Blackjack, nowadays there are all manner of live casino games on offer, with Roulette being one of the most popular. Technology too just keeps getting better, meaning that the video links are now almost always in stunning HD.

Pros & Cons Of Traditional Casino

There are a load of positives to take from traditional casino, with the main one being that it just feels better than playing online in a lot of cases. Nothing can match the grandeur of some real life traditional casinos, and going to these places is as much about the building than the actual gambling experience.

However, there are also negatives associated to traditional casinos. For example, they are ten times less practical than live casino – you actually have to leave your house to go to them! There is also the trouble of finding an actual good casino, we don’t al have the luck of living in Las Vegas!

Pros & Cons Of Live Casino

Live casino is a lot more practical than traditional casino, and the pros don’t stop there either. Many gamblers are reporting more favourable odds during live casino play too, consequence of the huge amount of money that the industry brings in.

A Tradesman’s Guide To Teamwork in Business

Hi everyone, welcome to our comprehensive update on Teamwork in Business. If you are interested in a detailed article about what is teamwork, benefits of teamwork, then you have stumbled on the right post here. In this post, you would get all the necessary steps needed to build a successful teamwork for your business.

But before we bag into giving you these steps let's briefly explain what a teamwork means and its benefits.

What Is a Team? How Does Teamwork Work?

A team (business team or a work team) is a group of people with complementary skills who work together to achieve a specific goal. In the case of Motorola’s RAZR team and Apple Inc., the specific goal was to develop (and ultimately bring to market) an ultrathin cell phone that would help restore the luster to Motorola’s tarnished image.

It wasn’t supposed to set sales records, and sales in the fourth quarter of 2004, though promising, were in fact fairly modest. Back in September, however, a new executive named Ron Garriques had taken over Motorola’s cell phone division; one of his first decisions was to raise the bar for RAZR. Disregarding a 2005 budget that called for sales of two million units, Garrigues pushed expected sales for the RAZR up to twenty million.

The RAZR topped that target, shipped ten million in the first quarter of 2006, and hit the fifty-million mark at midyear. Talking on a RAZR, declared hip-hop star Sean “P. Diddy” Combs, “is like driving a Mercedes versus a regular ol’ ride.

Jellicoe and his team were invited to attend an event hosted by top executives, receiving a standing ovation, along with a load of stock options. One of the reasons for the RAZR’s success, said Jellicoe, was that “It took the world by surprise. Very few Motorola products do that.” For a while, the new RAZR was the best-selling phone in the world.

The Team and the Organization

Below are Some Key Characteristics of  business Teams. To put teams in perspective, let’s identify five key characteristics of Teamwork:

1) Share accountability for achieving specific common goals
2) Function interdependently
3) Require stability
4) Hold authority and decision-making power
5) Operate in a social context.

Benefits of teamwork

Why Organizations Build Teams

Why do major organizations now rely so much on teams to improve operations? Executives at Xerox have reported that team-based operations are 30 percent more productive than conventional operations. General Mills says that factories organized around team activities are 40 percent more productive than traditionally organized factories. FedEx says that teams reduced service errors (lost packages, incorrect bills) by 13 percent in the first year and this why teamwork is so important in an organization.

Self-Managing Teams

Self-managing teams (also known as self-directed teams) have considerable autonomy. They are usually small and often absorb activities that were once performed by traditional supervisors. A manager or team leader may determine overall goals, but the members of the self-managing team control the activities needed to achieve those goals.

Self-managing teams are the organizational hallmark of Whole Foods Market, the largest natural-foods grocer in the United States. Each store is run by ten departmental teams, and virtually every store employee is a member of a team.

Each team has a designated leader and its own performance targets. (Team leaders also belong to a store team, and store-team leaders belong to a regional team.)

To do its job, every team has access to the kind of information—including sales and even salary figures—that most companies reserve for traditional managers.

Not every self-managed team enjoys the same degree of autonomy. Companies vary widely in choosing which tasks teams are allowed to manage and which ones are best left to upper-level management only.

Let's have a look at this, for example, self-managing teams are often allowed to schedule assignments, but they are rarely allowed to fire coworkers.

Why is it good to work in a team?

Now that we know a little bit about how teams work, we need to ask ourselves why they work. Not surprisingly, this is a fairly complex issue. In this section, we’ll explore why teams are often effective and when they ineffective.

Factors in Effective Teamwork

First, let’s begin by identifying several factors that contribute to effective teamwork. Teams are most effective when the following factors are met:
Members depend on each other. When team members rely on each other to get the job done, team productivity and efficiency tend to be high.

Members trust one another

Members work well together than individually. When team members perform better as a group than alone, collective performance exceeds individual performance.

Members become boosters

When each member is encouraged by other team members to do his or her best, collective results improve.
Team members enjoy being on the team.
 Leadership rotates.

Some of these factors may seem intuitive. Because such issues are rarely clear-cut, we need to examine the issue of group effectiveness from another perspective—one that considers the effects of factors that aren’t quite so straightforward.

Group Cohesiveness

The idea of group cohesiveness refers to the attractiveness of a team to its members. If a group is high in cohesiveness, membership is quite satisfying to its members. If it’s low in cohesiveness, members are unhappy with it and may try to leave it.

Groupthink

It’s easy for leaders to direct members toward team goals when members are all on the same page—when there’s a basic willingness to conform to the team’s rules. When there’s too much conformity, however, the group can become ineffective: it may resist fresh ideas and, what’s worse, may end up adopting its own dysfunctional tendencies as its way of doing things.

Such tendencies may also encourage a phenomenon known as groupthink—the tendency to conform to group pressure in making decisions while failing to think critically or to consider outside influences.

Other Factors that Erode Performance

Let’s take a quick look at three other obstacles to success in introducing teams into an organization:

Unwillingness to cooperate:

Failure to cooperate can occur when members don’t or won’t commit to a common goal or set of activities. What if, for example, half the members of a product-development team want to create a brand-new product and half want to improve an existing product? The entire team may get stuck on this point of contention for weeks or even months. Lack of cooperation between teams can also be problematic to an organization.

Lack of managerial support:

Every team requires organizational resources to achieve its goals, and if management isn’t willing to commit the needed resources— say, funding or key personnel—a team will probably fall short of those goals.

“Life Is All about Group Work”
“I’ll work extra hard and do it myself, but please don’t make me have to work in a group.”

Like it or not, you’ve probably already notice that you’ll have team-based assignments in college. More than two-thirds of all students report having participated in the work of an organized team, and if you’re in business school, you will almost certainly find yourself engaged in team-based activities.

Why do we put so much emphasis on something that, reportedly, makes many students feel anxious and academically drained? Here’s one college student’s practical-minded answer to this question:

“In the real world, you have to work with people. You don’t always know the people you work with, and you don’t always get along with them. Your boss won’t particularly care, and if you can’t get the job done, your job may end up on the line.

Life is all about group work, whether we like it or not. And school, in many ways, prepares us for life, including working with others.

She’s right. In placing so much emphasis on teamwork skills and experience, business colleges are doing the responsible thing—preparing students for the business world.

A survey of Fortune 1000 companies reveals that 79 percent use self-managing teams and 91 percent use other forms of employee work groups.

What Skills Does the Team Need?

Sometimes we hear about a sports team made up of mostly average players who win a championship because of coaching genius, flawless teamwork, and superhuman determination. But not terribly often.

In fact, we usually hear about such teams simply because they’re newsworthy—exceptions to the rule.

Typically a team performs well because its members possess some level of talent. Members’ talents must also be managed in a collective effort to achieve a common goal.

In the final analysis, a team can succeed only if its members provide the skills that need managing. In particular, every team requires some mixture of three sets of skills:

Technical skills. Because business teams must perform certain tasks, they need people with the skills to perform them. For example, if your project calls for a lot of math

What Roles Do Team Members Play?

As a student and later in the workplace, you’ll be a member of a team more often than a leader. Team members can have as much impact on a team’s success as its leaders. A key is the quality of the contributions they make in performing non-leadership roles.

What exactly are those roles?

At this point, you’ve probably concluded that every team faces two basic challenges:
1) Accomplishing its assigned task
2) Maintaining or improving group cohesiveness

Whether you affect the team’s work positively or negatively depends on the extent to which you help it or hinder it in meeting these two challenges.

We can thus divide teamwork roles into two categories, depending on which of these two challenges each role addresses. These two categories (task-facilitating roles and relationship-building roles) are summarized here:

Finally, a few characteristics of another kind of team-membership role. So-called blocking roles consist of behavior that inhibits either team performance or that of individual members.

Every member of the team should know how to recognize blocking behavior. If teams don’t confront dysfunctional members, they can destroy morale, hamper consensus building, create conflict, and hinder progress.

So there you have it, teamwork strategies and benefits of teamwork to help maximize your ability to work in a team or even in the workplace. If you’ve had success with any of these please feel free to share your results in the comments section.

Online Casino Welcome Bonus Vs Land Casino

There is a battle raging out there that many people are unaware of. It’s casino Vs casino, but who will be victorious?

To put it plainly, online Svenska casino has wiped the floor with land-based casinos recently. However, saying that, there will always be those high rollers who like to dress up and make a night of visiting a brick and mortar establishment.
This is where the problems lie for casinos found in cities and towns. They are seen as exclusive clubs for the rich and glamorous.

Online casinos do not come with such an image. In fact, they are seen as highly accessible and for the masses and cater for all budgets. This is why they are almost winning by a knockout.
Having said that, land-based casinos have been around for years. The oldest is the Casino Di Venezia in Venice that dates back to 1683 and it’s still open for business even now.
Therefore, we can safely say that although the land-based casino is punch drunk, they will not be disappearing from high streets any day soon.

However, they do have to adapt to keep up with their younger cousins. Online casinos are also popular because you can gamble anonymously and in the comfort of your own home.
They also attract all sorts of people from all walks of life, including a record number of women.
They win hands down in the game choice stakes and offer a variety of gaming that land-based casinos cannot compete with.
Online casinos even mimic the glitz and glamour of high street venues thanks to the inclusion of a Live Casino. Here you can get that live dealer experience on your desktop, laptop or mobile device.

Now For The Bonus Round

The contest between these two relations seems very one-sided with online casinos coming out on top in every department. However, how do they fare when it comes to bonuses?
Back in the golden age of Las Vegas casinos, high rollers were given perks known as comps. These are basically complimentary gifts given out to big spenders in order to thank them for being loyal to a certain casino.

Back then a VIP would be treated to free meals, free stays in hotels and free passes to various entertainment venues.  Now that everything is electronically monitored, more people are getting freebies especially if they are holders of Player’s Cards.

These are basically cards that keep track of your play, including the amount of time spent in the casino and the amount of money wagered. Customers receive points that can be exchanged for gifts.
Land-based casinos still give away free food and show tickets even to this day. However, you can get free slot play coupons too.

Unfortunately, land casinos are a little light on welcome offers. You may get some free slot coupons, but the emphasis here is on building points and then expecting the perks to start flowing in.
Hosts can approach you at any time with a gift too. This can make your evening at land casinos extra special.

Online casinos have a very different bonus structure. All casinos players are given a welcome bonus and some don’t even need you to spend anything on-site to get a bonus.
The most common forms of bonuses are packages called deposit bonuses. These are usually reserved for new player’s first-ever deposits.

Most casinos will give a 100% deposit boost up to a certain amount of cash. The industry standard is around £100.

If you deposit £20 you will get another £20 free giving you £40 to play with. If you deposit £100 then a 100% match will give you £200 in total, reaching the maximum deposit bonus limit.
It is always important to read the small print when accepting a bonus online, especially the Terms and Conditions. This is the major difference between online and land casino bonuses. Online bonuses come with many strings attached.
The majority of welcome bonuses come with wagering requirements before you can make any cash withdrawals. These are attached to cover casino cost as giving out deposit bonuses can be a costly business.

The standard is 20x wagering requirements on bonuses and winnings from them before you can make a withdrawal.  Most offers have a minimum deposit limit needed to activate the bonus offer.
This is usually £10 or £20 pounds. However, many sites do not offer these bonuses to E-wallet depositors. If Skrill, Neteller or PayPal are your chosen deposit methods, then you may miss out on bonuses altogether. Other common welcome offers include free spins. These can accompany deposit boosts or be stand-alone.

Again they come with wagering requirements on winnings before you can make a withdrawal and winnings on free spins are usually capped at £100.
There is a growing trend for no wagering free spins. What you win you keep in cash. Some casinos offer up to 100 free spins on selected slots and these are usually given 10 a day until 100 has been reached.

You must use them quickly as they are only available for 24 hours on most online casino sites. There are time limits applied to all bonuses, although the deposit bonus cash usually has to be used within 21 days of the date of issue. Some sites allow as much as 60 days for you to use your bonus funds.
Whilst playing with bonus cash it is important to stay within the betting limit stated on the website. This is set at just under £5 per spin or lower. If you spin at a higher value you could forfeit the entire bonus and any winnings from these spins.
Some online casinos have tried to copy land casinos by giving players chances to win nights out, instead of free spins or bonus cash.
The perks at land casinos offer real experiences such as free meals and tickets to events without so many conditions attached. With this in mind, they actually beat their online cousins when it comes to bonuses.

How to Find the Best Payout Online Pokies

Pokies are part of the Aussie culture. This slang term is widely used in Australia and used to refer to poker machines, but in 2020 it is related to slots.

Although pokies can be found in many convenience stores, casinos, supermarkets, etc. in the digital era, many new gamblers want to play online from the comfort of their homes. And that's where online pokies came into the scene. Gambling on the Internet is becoming the rule today.

You’ve probably heard of some lucky players who have hit millionaire prizes and their lives changed dramatically after a spin on a progressive pokie like Mega Moolah. We can say that playing at online casinos it is a trend nowadays.

In this article, we won't discuss the complicated legal status of online gambling in Australia because we simply don't have an answer for it. We will focus on sharing some tips to find out the best pokies.

Find a Trusted Pokie

First of all, you need to make sure that the online casino can be trusted. This is a bit tricky because, without a licensing process in Australia, virtually anyone can set up a website and do shady things. In other words, it's important to check the casino’s reputation before processing any deposit or playing pokies.

How can you do that? Well, it's not as difficult as it sounds. There are plenty of trustworthy websites constantly adding new reviews of Aussie-friendly casinos and by checking user feedback you can get an idea of whether those casinos are trustworthy or no.
Australian Payment Methods
Payment methods are another crucial subject. Before playing, you must confirm that the casino offers suitable deposit and withdrawal options. In Australia, you can deposit via cryptocurrencies, prepaid cards, credit cards, etc. But withdrawals are a bit different, and most of the time the options are bank transfers or cryptos as well.

Profitable Pokies

Now that you can trust your online casino and handle your money transactions, you need to check that the pokie is profitable. You must verify three basic aspects:
  • Hit Frequency: a factor that indicates how often a pokie will give a reward;
  • Return to Player (RTP): a crucial indicator. It shows how much of the money invested will return to the player.
  • Promotions: additional promotions like welcome bonuses, free spins, etc. or even progressive jackpots are important to underline that a pokie is profitable.

Progressive jackpot pokies deserve an extra comment. Although in terms of probability it is practically impossible to hit one of these prizes, from time to time a lucky player is blessed with a millionaire prize. A progressive jackpot keeps growing until the big prize is claimed, and it is usually not more expensive to join one of these pokies. The best Australian payout pokies belong to the progressive category.
There are many other features that you can check before playing online pokies. But if you are already positive that the casino will pay your profits, that you can withdraw them, and that the stats don't abuse, you're ready to jump to the best pokies.

The Growing Popularity Of Online Gambling Sphere In New Zealand

According to official data, more and more Kiwis turn to online gambling. Over the past 18 months, locals have spent NZ$381 million on gambling websites and the number continues to grow. However, opposers claim that the government is more interested in regulating the sector to make it friendly for the companies, not for the people. So is this popularity growth beneficial or harmful?

We decided to explore the topic deeper to find out whether the interest in online gaming is real and if there are things to worry about. A quick disclaimer: all NetEnt online casinos that offer an excellent service and generous bonuses protect Kiwi players and responsible providers regularly fight compulsive gaming.

Official statistics

Last year New Zealanders spent over $2,4 billion on online gambling, which estimates almost $650 for each citizen. This sum is $50 million higher than last year but if the population growth and inflation are taken into account, there wasn’t much difference compared to 2019.

Even though there is a common trend of spending less on gambling, groups for problem gamblers say that the harm related to this sphere is the same or even higher. According to the Department of Internal Affairs, the biggest share of expenditures goes to pokies or so-called slots. In total, New Zealanders spent $895 million on pokies during the past year.

These machines are considered to do the most harm and officials put much effort into reducing the effect that pokies have on those with addiction. But despite all the measures, the total money spent on pokies was almost the same as last year - $238 per one citizen compared to $242 in 2019.

Around $580 million was spent in six land-based casinos and $350 million – on racing and sports betting, which had the biggest growth among other types of gambling. The Department of Internal Affairs says that the reason is attractive marketing campaigns of sports events like the Football World Cup.

Gaming culture and support of the government

Almost 70% of New Zealand responders said that they play casino and video games on a daily basis. 52% are men and 48% - women. Just imagine – everyday Kiwis gamble around three hours!

It’s not a secret that New Zealanders spend lots of money on the games they love whether these are casino or video games. Thus, Kiwi players are constantly targeted with free spins, bonuses, regular promotions, and other perks.

The gaming culture in New Zealand is rather similar to one of their neighbours, Australia. There one player spends around $1200 on gambling every year. And almost 80% of Aussies have tried online gambling at least once during a lifetime.

But what is the role of the New Zealand authorities and what do they say about the growing popularity of online gambling? First things first, the government doesn’t license online casino sites. However, they don’t prohibit Kiwis from joining offshore websites. In addition, these winnings are not taxed. Thus, it’s not surprising that locals are head over heels in love with online casino games and know that accessing hundreds or even thousands of sites is not illegal.

But even though New Zealand authorities don’t regulate the market, Malta, the UK, and New Jersey have regulatory gambling bodies. In addition, Alderney, Curacao, and Gibraltar give out licenses to reputable casinos. Thus, when choosing one of the licensed online gambling sites, New Zealand players don’t have to worry about anonymity and protection of sensitive data.

Playing on the go

Another feature that significantly increases the popularity of casino games among Kiwis is the fact that online gambling sites are entering the mobile market. Over 90% of New Zealand players enter websites using their smartphones and tablets. In 2013 only 44% of gamblers were using mobile devices to play casino games.
Due to simpler and faster access to the Internet on the go, more and more players are able to enjoy casino games no matter where they are. And considering that Kiwis are a smartphone nation, the interest in online gambling will continue to grow.

Should we do something about it?

It’s not a secret that gambling was called an addiction along with drug and alcohol use. Thus, we should be careful when playing games. Gamblers from New Zealand, Australia, the USA, and other countries must play responsibly and remember that online casinos are a way to entertain yourself and not to spend a fortune or to escape the real world.

COMPLETE GUIDE TO UNDERSTANDING MARKETING STRATEGY (EASY STEPS)

Are you interested in articles about marketing strategy? this post contains all the necessary details of the biggest marketing strategies to apply in business for 2019 and beyond.

Marketing Strategy

The survival of any business depends on the proper determination of strategy which involves the general situation pertaining to the business as a whole & decides upon necessary changes of fundamental nature.

What is Marketing Strategy?

According to Philip Kotler, marketing strategy is a consistent, appropriate feasible set of principles through which a particular business hopes to achieve its long-run customer profit objectives in a particularly competitive environment.

The marketing function is very important in any business because it is a function that generates income for the business to grow and move forward.

Therefore, It is essential for entrepreneurs (businessmen) to give it an appropriate attention. It's important for entrepreneurs to understand the basic objective of marketing, what it is and how it can be applied in business effectively.

Unfortunately, business managers and entrepreneurs are often ignorant of the importance of such strategic planning and thereby resort to guessing works.

It is therefore imperative for an entrepreneurial firm to define from the start its type of business and the market it wants to satisfy.

A business may decide to go for either the mass or niche marketing strategy in selecting its target market (buyers).

Mass targeted marketing strategy is a situation where all potential customers in a product-market are assumed to be sufficiently similar in their response to a marketing program positioning strategy.

Whereas in niche targeted marketing strategy, the firm assumes that people or organizations within a product market vary in the area of their response to any marketing program positioning strategy.

A niche strategy can be implemented by going after a single niche or by designing a separate marketing program for each of two or more niches.

The niche strategy can afford a business with the opportunity to greatly increase profitability & strength over the competition through the more effective use of the capabilities & limited resources.

Marketing strategy is therefore concerned with the identification of customer groups (target markets), which a business can serve better than its target competitors, and tailoring its product

offerings, prices, distribution, promotional efforts & services towards that particular market segment.

The main focus of applying strategies in business is to address customer needs which are not being currently met in the marketplace.

A good strategy implies that a business cannot be all things to all people and must analyze its market alongside its own capabilities so as to focus on a target market it can serve better.

Side Note! The following steps should be followed when trying to communicate with your target market/niche:

  • Draw up a budget
  • Implement and measure results.
Advertisement: Advertisement is a key part of the marketing process and it is a tool for promotion. The purpose of advertising is to make potential buyers and existing customers respond positively to a business and/or its product or service.

Essentially, it informs, persuades and reminds the target audience of the product or service and helps to create awareness and loyalty.

Advertising is the paid and impersonal attempt by an identifiable sponsor to provide the most persuasive message to the right prospects through mass media at the lowest possible cost.

Importance of Advertisement

Advertising serves the following purposes:
  1. To inform the target market of a business
  2. To attract attention to a new business, its product or service
  3. To announce a special offer
  4. To reinforce the work of the sales team
  5. To remind customers of the offering
  6. To persuade customers to “buy now”
  7. To maintain and increase demand for well-known products.

  • Demographic and psychographic description of the target market
  • Costs
  • The nature of the product
  • The frequency of messages.
Sales Promotion: Sales promotion is promotional techniques that are neither personal sell nor advertising. Sales promotion consist of the inactive tool, mostly short-term, that is designed to stimulate quicker or greater purchase of particular products or services by consumers.

Whereas advertising offers a reason to buy, sales promotion offers an coupons, premiums, price deals, rebates, free trials, warranties, and demonstration.

Personal Selling: Personal selling is one-on-one communication between the business and a customer so as to convince the customer to buy. For personal selling to be effective, the sales-person must find out the needs of the customer and match the goods and services of the business to those customer needs for the mutual benefits of both parties.

Publicity: Publicity is information about a business, its products or services that appear as a news item. Publicity is not usually paid for by the business. It can be done through other methods such as press release, sponsorships, events, publications, speeches, etc.

Place (or Distribution): Place or distribution is very important in business. No matter how good is your product and how affordable is its price, without distraction it will be a useless effort. No wonder in economics, production is said to be incomplete until goods and services get to the final consumers. Distribution is concerned with getting your products or services to the target market.
