How to crop a PDF
Upload a PDF and use the crop rectangle on the page preview. Drag the corners to remove unwanted margins, or enter exact top, bottom, left and right measurements in millimeters.
1. Upload your PDF
Select a PDF from your phone, tablet or computer. The first page appears in the crop workspace.
2. Adjust the crop area
Drag the crop box or its corner handles. The margin fields update with the selected crop area.
3. Choose the pages
Apply the same crop to the current page, every page, or specific pages from the document.
4. Create the cropped PDF
Enter an output filename and select Crop PDF. The finished PDF is generated in your browser.
When to crop a PDF
- Remove large white margins from scanned documents.
- Trim scanner edges around a document.
- Reduce unused space around receipts and forms.
- Prepare pages for printing or presentation.
- Make scanned pages more compact visually.
Important privacy note
The tool processes the PDF in the browser. Cropping a PDF changes the visible page region but does not securely remove content outside the crop box. If a document contains confidential information, use a proper PDF redaction workflow instead of relying on cropping.
