Which DPI Should You Choose?
Use 72 or 96 DPI for small web previews. Use 150 DPI for general document sharing and screen viewing. Choose 300 DPI when you need sharper images for printing or close inspection.
What Does JPG Quality Do?
JPG quality controls the JPEG compression level after the PDF page has been rendered. Higher quality usually produces larger files with fewer visible compression artifacts. Lower quality produces smaller files.
Can I Convert Only Certain PDF Pages?
Yes. Enter a page range such as 1-3, 5, 8-10. You can also select pages directly from the page grid. Leaving the range empty selects every page.
What Happens During PDF to JPG Conversion?
PDF pages contain text, vector graphics and images rather than a single bitmap. The browser renders each selected page onto a canvas at the chosen resolution, then exports the canvas as a JPG image. PDF.js provides the page rendering process.
Important Output Difference
JPG files are images. Text inside the resulting JPG is no longer selectable or searchable as PDF text. Higher DPI produces more pixels and usually gives better detail, but it also increases memory use and output file size.
